Me outside of lords, it had been a long day but it was something I had waited for for about 15 years.



Same day as pictured above, this was not long after getting off the plane. Had to make sure the camera worked as it was brand new. 26 hours in transit it was hell I have to tell you.




For all the football fans out there, this was about a week into the tour.

I think you plain just mean Greatest Footballer of ALL TIME.
At the end of Best's career he played in the States for the San Jose Earthquakes (whom I support).
He used to drive into the little town that I currently live in and get pissed and get tail, and no one knew who he was. . . at all!!!

And no I am not someone who just follows the winners, I have been following united for a while, since the days of Beckham and York. I started to follow them when I started playing soccer back when I was 6-7.

Greatest player of all time is a bit far Hida, I'd put a good few names infront of him such as Pele, Maradona (dispite off field behaviour), Cyruff, Zico, Beckenbauer, Müller and so forth. But yes he was a great player.

He was by far the greatest talent in football, together with Maradona. I still get shivers on my back when I see some footage with him.

It is impossible to say greatest talent in football without saying the name "Pele" fool!

I think Peyton Manning may be the most talented man in football, i dont know who all these guys are you guys are talking about. Maybe Canadian football~~~

I only talk about that players who had the balls to prove their talent, every fukin day in a strong championship, not once every 4 yrs, and between the world cups making 1k goals in my backyard championship.

Back then The South American competition was far superior than European competition.
Also very ironic that you mentioned Marradona as a great player even though he lived in a more modern era so non 'backyard' championships were actually available to him and yet he still spent over half his carreer playing in Argentina, so he must be rubbish too.
George Best started at united then played 38% of the rest of his carreer playing in lower leagues in England and in Rubbish leagues like the USA's and Scotland's. So he can't be all that good either. If we are going off your Backyard Football theory.
The South American league of the 1960's is the equivilent to the EPL now and only in the last 15-25 years England has had the 'big' league, not when Best played there.

Are you saying that the brasilian teams were better than the european ones in the 60's and the 70's? You must be kidding me, as I can think of a lot of european teams that would have easily won the Taca Brasil in those years: Eusebio's Benfica, Real Madrid (even if were the late yrs of Gento), Nereo Rocco's Milan, Crujff's Ajax, Herrera's Inter (fuckin basterds), Gerd Muller's Bayern, Garate's Atletico Madrid, etc.
As for Maradona, he played 12 years in europe, playing between Barcelona and Napoli (I don't count the last year played with Siviglia ), and Napoli in those years had to compete against the best AC Milan ever.
As for Best's USA adventure, I'd like to remind you that Pele went there too, but they both went for different reasons, Best went because he was an alcohol addicted and that was his only choice to make some money, Pele went there to become a movie star.
